We hold new volunteer orientations during the first half of our general meetings, which are typically scheduled for the second or third Tuesday of every other month starting at 7pm.  Please see our Calendar for the next meeting date and location. New Volunteer FAQs

What is the time commitment?  As a volunteer, your time commitment will depend on the number of trips you help with.  The time commitment for a typical trip is about 10 hours, including some time for trip planning.  Volunteers typically help out with 3 to 6 trips a year, but some do more and some less.

What skills do I need?  You should enjoy interacting with youth and adults in an outdoor setting.  Outdoor skills are a bonus but not required.  A positive, friendly attitude is essential.

What types of trips do you do?  We lead mostly day trips on Saturdays and some overnight camping trips.  Trips we’ve led include: canoeing, kayaking, walking, hiking, biking, berry picking, apple picking, sledding, snowshoeing, tubing, skiing, camping and sailing.

What groups do you work with? We currently work with 4 Boston Area Groups.
