HEADLINES

August 1, 2002 -
Between 9:00 and 9:30 on Wednesday night, first the Senate and then the House passed the Conference Committee version of the Environmental Bond Bill unanimously!! Senators Brewer, Tarr, Nuciforo, and Pacheco spoke in favor of the bill in the Senate. Senator Pacheco thanked the environmental community for letting him know how the people felt about this important legislation. The total bond is for $707 million with a 3-year authorization. Please call your Representatives or Senator and thank them for their support.
